COMMUNICATION

Successful communication is one of the key factors in ensuring that a school runs smoothly. We encourage an open line of communication between teacher and parents.
DISCIPLINE

Discipline is what is done FOR a child and not what is done TO him/her.

We use a positive approach in the form of reward and encouragement. If however a child is acting in an anti-social manner, he is removed from the situation and placed in isolation or "time-out". When the attitude has changed, he/she is given lots of love and returned to the group. The situation will be communicated to the relevant parent.

Holiday care is available for children up to the age of 6 years old at the following rates: R30.00 for
half day (07H00 to 13H00) and R40.00 for full day (06H30 to 18H00 or part thereof). If your child is required to stay longer, then the appropriate arrangements must be made. Children paying

OUTINGS AND FUNDRAISERS

We encourage moms to join us for our termly outings. These will be advised. Our fundraisers are not only for funds to improve the school, but a social time to get to know your child's friends' parents! Please support these once per term.

GIVING BACK

Most of us only need to look around us to realise how blessed we are in many ways. Helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves, is probably one of the most valuable and life changing lessons we can teach our children. At Clever Cats, we ask for no donations of tissues, toilet paper, printing paper etc. We simply ask each parent to donate one tin of canned food per month, which we will collect until the end of the year, when we will invite children from the Durbanville Children's' Home to join us for a day of joy. Each child will be asked to bring a toy which they will have the pleasure of giving to another child from the children's' home, and at the end of the day, all canned food collected during the year will be handed over too. Parents are encouraged to involve their children in this initiative, and give them a chance to realise, no matter how small they are, they have the power to change a life.
